Buckingham Palace & the Royal Mews
In August and September, when the palace is not being used in its official capacity,
visitors can enjoy the State Rooms, which form the heart of the working palace
- nineteen rooms, lavishly furnished with the finest treasures from the Royal
Collection, including paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens, Poussin and Canaletto and some
of the finest English and French furniture.
For the first time ever, visitors will be able to experience the spectacle of the Palace’s
Ballroom set up for a State Banquet. For centuries magnificent banquets have been an
integral part of royal ceremonial and the traditional way to mark significant events.
Opening from 27 July until 29th September 2010.

Kensington Palace
Kensington Palace was the birthplace of Queen Victoria and the home of Princess
Diana. King William III bought the house from the Earl of Nottingham in 1689 and
had it remodelled by Sir Christopher Wren.
Several state rooms are open to the public. The palace is set in the middle of
the graceful Kensington Gardens and is near the fashionable shopping districts
of Kensington, Knightsbridge and Chelsea.

Tower of London

The London Eye
Sweep London's skyline from the London Eye, the world's highest observation
wheel. The London Eye stands 135m high on the South Bank between Waterloo and
Westminster Bridges.
Your "flight" will take about 30 minutes and offers

The ZSL London Zoo has two brand new exhibits - "Gorilla Kingdom" brings
Central Africa to the heart of London and "Clore Rainforest Lookout"

of birds, monkeys and forest mammals in a lush tropical setting.
Into Africa - Go eye-to-eye with giraffes at feeding time on the new
viewing platform, and see the African hunting dogs up close through a
wide glass viewing area.
Meet the Monkeys - A walk-through squirrel monkey forest where the cheeky
monkeys jump and play as you walk right into their habitat. Children's
